UMSEBE DEVELOPMENT PLANNERS complies with the BEE targets for small businesses with a 50% ownership by a previously disadvantaged individual and we currently qualify as a B-BBEE Level 4 contributor.

UMSEBE regards BEE and affirmative action as a process of transformation and has adopted it as its guiding principle in recruiting its employees.

Consequently it has implemented the following strategies to address Black Empowerment:

• Financial assistance and in-service training to AA Town and Regional Planning students;
• Assisting and supporting disadvantaged and rural communities in need of planning advice in their areas; and
• Employment of temporary employees from the deprived communities as fieldworkers, community liaison officers, data capturers, etc.
